  • Assisted with preparation and serving of meals
  • Made menu recommendations while considering cost, government commodities, kitchen equipment, staffing, and nutrition guidelines
  • Altered the menu for a texture modified diet
  • Developed a nutrition themed bulletin board for an elementary school 
  • Learned about the different elements of human resources, including conflict management and discipline
  • Participated in staff meetings and the School Health Committee
  • Created a “Healthy Holiday Eating” presentation and delivered to kitchen staff members

  • Created daily checklists and logs for employees and signage for the kitchen
